About this project
The Situation :
Maven Toys, a toy store chain with multiple store locations in Mexico requires an interactive report that the leadership team can use to monitor key business metrics and high-level trends.
Access to the transactional records from January 2022 to September 2023, with information about products and store locations already been given for the assignment.
The Assignment :
Design and build the interactive KPI report for the leadership team.

Report Features
Store locations slicer
Allows the user to filter our sales dataset based on the store location. It helps users look at sales performance based on store location.
Orders line chart
This chart displays the total sales orders at the beginning of each month, offering insights into our order quantities for the reviewed period.
It can be used to analyze order trends across dimensions such as location, year, and product type. This chart is valuable for management to understand order volumes yearly.
Orders by product category bar chart
This chart shows all orders managed by Maven Toys, categorized by product name. It assists Management in identifying the products with the highest and lowest order volumes.

Key Findings:
Toys Category is the most profitable category, always available in stock, especially in locations like commercial, airports, and residential.
Arts & Crafts Category is the second most profitable category in all categories and the top category in downtime.
Games Category Shows a constant upward trend in profit, Maven should capitalize on the growth in arts and crafts in the coming years.
Sales Strategy Notice a decline in sales in February and August, Offer discounts during these months to boost sales and profits.
Top Performing Products Colourbuds and deck of cards are the two most profitable products, Sales are affected by low inventory levels, necessitating a priority in restocking
Product Recommendation Mini basketball hoop is the worst-performing product and should be discontinued.
Conclusion:
Maven Toys should prioritize maintaining toy inventory, capitalize on the growing Arts & Crafts category, and reevaluate the declining Electronics section. Strategic discounts during low-sales months can boost overall profitability.
To strengthen their market position, they should focus on discontinuing underperforming products like mini basketball hoops and prioritize consistent availability of top-sellers like color buds and deck of cards.
